Showbiz ~ Muse
Release Date: 18th June 2001 Examples:
1) Sunburn - 'Another corporate show, a guilty conscience grows' The first ever song on Muse's first ever album. And the start does not disappoint. Sunburn is made up of a memorable piano melody matched with a strong chorus and set of lyrics, with an interesting guitar solo towards the end. Simply great.
2) Muscle Museum - 'I don't want you to adore me, don't want you to ignore me' Muscle Museum is definitely a track that has survived the ages, still proving to be many a fan favourite. With an unusual guitar riff and an incredible powerful chorus and finale, Muscle Museum is a very unique rock song that sum up Muse for what they are.
3) Fillip - 'It's scent has been blowing in my direction'' Like Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist proves to be, Fillip has an aura of 'fun' about it. With a 'wacky' baseline and an almost 'jokey' tone of voice when singing, Fillip has a surprising minor-based middle section compared to the rest of the song. Following that, is one of Muse's great build-ups leading to their final chorus. Unbeliveable..
